I love going out doors to participate in environmental activities because I cannot experience it all the time. Living in New York is sometimes a disadvantage because there is not much grassland.
The world that I come from is not very successful because no one from my family has graduated from college and some did not finish high school. This has motivated me to try and be the first generation college graduate because everyone will be proud that someone broke the chain. It is not easy; however, the happiness that I get from people seeing me work so hard is what inspires me.
I want to attend the High Mountain Institute because it allows me to see new places. I love to travel because it let's you see how mot everything is the same, and how other places do things differently.
Lanise is a student on the cusp of greatness. She has taken ownership over her education and is poised to become a leader in her classroom and greater community. She just needs one more push to develop her leadership and confidence.
