I love the world of fashion. Being able to put outfits together is extremely exciting to me. Designing and creating my own clothes seems interesting and fun. I always have new fashion ideas. I'm always thinking of the next outfit to put together for the next day. Picking out clothes and having my unique style is part of my identity and I would be lost without the world of fashion. I always look through magazines to get inspiration on what I should wear next and I always put my own unique twist to clothing ideas I learn.
I've been interested in fashion ever since the beginning of 9th grade. Coming to high school I was finding myself and who I wanted to be. Times when I was upset and wanted to cry I opened up a fashion magazine. I want to send a message to every girl that they are beautiful in their own unique way and can rock anything they want to wear. The most effective way to do this is by becoming a designer. Intro to Design at Syracuse University is a really good program at a really good college. It exposes me to all the aspects of the fashion world. I will be living on Syracuse's campus full time learning what the fashion world is like.
Jennifer will benefit from the opportunity to visit and learn about other schools she would not otherwise be exposed to visiting. She has a curious nature and inquisitive intellect that always seeks another perspective. A program like this one will help strengthen this very unique side of a very special and promising young mind.
I am so excited about learning more about the world of fashion and meeting new people. I am also excited about living on a college campus and getting the feel about how life is away from home. My goals are to excel in college classes that I will be taking within those two weeks. But I am extremely nervous about being away from home. I’m going to be in a new surrounding without my family or friends so hopefully I get adjusted well. A challenge I might face during this program is the intense fashion curriculum I might be slightly inexperienced. I will overcome this by striving to learn more and more and do better and better.
