Lizeth's Story

I discovered my passion for medicine when I asked myself, “How does the human body work?” Ever since then I knew medicine was what I wanted to pursue as a career because I want to know the answers to all my questions about how the human body works. Another reason why I became passionate about medicine was when I knew I wanted to help others so that I could help people lead healthy lives. Finally, one of the most important reasons as to why I want to pursue a career in medicine is because as a little kid I spent most of my life in a hospital bed, and I want to be the reason someone feels better and gets off that bed and I want to be able to give the happiness that was given to me when they said “you can finally go home, you are all better."

Attending Envision NYFL Medicine program can help me in many ways to pursue my passion for medicine. It will give me a hands-on opportunity to explore what I think I want to do as a profession when I get older. This program will also help me because it will give me a chance to see if I am capable of of having a career in medicine. Envision NYFL Medicine program can also teach me many things that I still don't know about medicine. The program will hopefully help me discover some of the answers to the questions I have been asking myself since I first discovered my passion for medicine.
