My passion is playing music on my violin.
This became my passion when I was in fourth grade. I decided I was going to choose an instrument, learn to play it, and learn how to read music. As soon as I heard the sounds of a violin, I knew right then and there that I wanted to play it. So, when I had the chance to join a small orchestra I went for it. Ever since then, I have grown to love music; I feel so strong and confident about playing. I have been playing in school orchestra for seven years, and I truly believe this is my passion.
I will develop my passion at Summer Youth Music at Saint Rose by meeting new people who feel the same way about music that I do. I believe that I can and will grow not only in my music, but as a person who loves music.
"Jessica is an outgoing and curious student who has the potential to become a stronger student. She is kind and friendly to students from different backgrounds and neighborhoods. If she finishes an assignment early, she is happy to help other classmates. The Saint Rose Pre-College Summer Experience would give Jessica a chance to explore a new world and gain exposure to new music curriculum."
