My passion is visual art.
Visual art became my passion when I was just a little kid. At this point, drawing was my way of expressing what I wanted to show to others. It was something I enjoyed to do because I did not really talk to a lot of people, so it was a way for me to communicate the ideas I had in my mind. Drawing has helped expand my imagination and create things that I hope will one day come alive.
I will develop my passion by attending Academy of Art Summer Pre-College Art Experience because I will be able to use the skills that I have now in order to learn things that will benefit me in the future. When I go to college, I want to study architecture, so this experience will help me gain experience in this area. Being able to do architecture will help me create something that will benefit the world around me.
"Sabrina displays exemplary passion, persistence, and motivation ALL the time. She is one of the top students in my math classes. She is naturally smart, intuitive, is an excellent listener, and has a strong analytic mind. Additionally, Sabrina is one of the most mature students I have ever taught, and it is my pleasure to have her in class.
Sabrina comes from a financially disadvantaged background and would greatly benefit from the Academy of Art Summer Pre-College Art Experience, which will allow her to explore her dream of becoming an architect."
This summer I attended Academy of Art University Pre-College Art Experience. I was there from the end of June to the end of July. It was really an amazing experience because I was able to take three classes that I really wanted to take, which were drawing for future architects, graphic design, and music production. The reason I took those classes was because I wanted to explore what each class was about and I wanted to learn more about the major I want to study in college, which is architecture. In my architecture class, I was able to learn how to draw floor plans and how to draw building at different angles. In my graphic design class, I was able to learn how to create my own logo, use letter as a movement, use a book and cut it out to make an art piece, and a bunch of other stuff. In my music production class, I learned how to create my own songs on a computer program called logic pro x. At the end of the program, I was able to display all the work I have done since I started the program at an exhibit the program had for the students. This experience really assured me of what I would like to do in college. My graphic design teacher also told me to consider graphic design as a major. His class was very interesting that it actually has motivated me to think about majoring not only in architecture, but also in graphic design. Honestly, this past summer has been the most amazing and exciting summer I have ever had.
I think you are a great person!!!
For all that you do for others and your community, may it all come back to you!!!!
Have a Great Summer!
