My passion is Soccer.
When I was little, my dad was on a team and me and my family used to go to his games. After the games we would always stay at the park and build our relations as a family by sharing our passion for soccer. It was through this sense of community and coming together for the love of the sport that I realized I didn't just like soccer, it was a passion which I am determined to make a significant part of my life.
Nike Soccer Camp will help me explore my passion by allowing me to meet other people who share the passion for soccer. Seeing the love for the sport burn in other people helps motivate me to self improve and always keep striving for my goals. This program can also help me to achieve my goal of one day participating in the highest competitive level of soccer.
"David is a great kid who loves the sport of soccer with a passion and is a great leader. Because of limited training opportunities in his community and limited financial means, he has not had the opportunities for professional training, skills development and sporting fun experiences that are taken for granted by students in more affluent communities. David would be an excellent addition to the camp group and I know he would get the most out of the experience if he was allowed to attend the Nike Soccer camp."
My experience at Nike soccer camp is one I will never forget for the rest of my life. Not only did I get better at the sport I love (soccer), I also met a lot of new players and coaches from different parts of California and some from different states. I got to meet a lot of different coaches that I learned a lot from and look up to. I'd like to give a big thanks to Wishbone and my donors for the chance to meet new people and become a better soccer player. Thank you.
