My passion is engineering.
Between the ages of 13 and 14 I suddenly had this urge to take toys and machines apart. My family and I thought it was just a phase similar to how teenagers become rebellious. After a few months of taking things apart, I accumulated a lot of spare parts like motors, switches, wires, and screws, so I decided to build something with these parts I had accumulated. My first experiment was to make these toy parts into a motorized toy car, which after a week, I was able to accomplish. When I showed my siblings the final product they were very interested about how I created something like this, and we knew that I was not going through a phase, but it was my passion.
Attending Bluestamp will allow me to satisfy my curiosity for building things and give me more knowledge on things like induction motors, wind turbines, and even solar panels. Bluestamp will also help me to find more engineer-based summer programs in the future and overall make my resume look good. Finally Bluestamp will also teach me how to better work in groups, be more patient and stay calm when I don’t understand something.
Jahmac is a very resourceful. He has the ability to create something out of nothing, whether it be scrap materials or items others people will see as trash. He often takes toys and clocks apart to understand how they work and fix if needed. Jahmac has the ability to learn quickly and if he does not understand, he will not be afraid to ask questions. He will benefit greatly from this program and it will give him a better understanding of robotics.
Can't wait to hear all about your summer at BlueStamp, Jahmac! You're going to be quite an engineer one day and this is an important step in that journey.

I never had the opportunity to go to a summer program until I was in college. The experience was life changing. I hope you find the program fun and eye-opening.
