Asanni's Story

My passion is science and technology.

Science and technology became my passion because I like to deconstruct, analyze, and create. Science piques my interest because it connects to almost everything that exists or will exist, so it will always have a way of influencing or causing something to be. I also like technology because it has many convenient uses and overlaps with science; I need it to conduct experiments and play games that I enjoy.

I will develop my passion by attending Summer at Brown because I will study and practice a wide range of sciences such as anthropology, chemistry, biochemistry, and biology. At Brown, I will be able to learn many new things and meet many new people,who will likely teach me things I don't know yet. I will also learn how to use high-level science equipment and technology to perform science, making Brown a worthwhile and enhancing experience.

"Asanni regularly submits exceptional homework and is consistently in the top two test scorers in the classroom. Asanni finishes his work before others, checks his work, and initiates discussions about various topics.

Asanni attends chemistry office hours after school, although often he doesn't need help like other attendees. Rather, he seeks a deeper refinement of skills. Asanni regularly checks in with other students during class because he completes his work so thoroughly and quickly. Asanni craves exploration and is eager to apply himself beyond the traditional classroom setting. I believe he would likely find some real life heroes after attending Summer at Brown, and it is quite possible he could make some lifelong connections."
