A Note from Ms. Siesfeld, Armando's Counselor

We have very limited science resources at our school and Armando does his best to get what he can out of every day that he has at school. He is putting his interests out there and trying to further learn about science through a rigorous summer program. Armando is a quick learner and can teach himself many concepts given reading and other resources through which to learn. He deeply cares about broadening his own horizons and frequently brings interesting information and connections he has independently learned and seen into class. He would benefit from having a structured environment with other passionate people from which he can learn. I think this program has the opportunity to fundamentally enhance Armando's experience in school and in building interest in his future career field.
