My passion is leadership.
This past summer I joined this program transition in my school called "Link Crew," it was about welcoming freshman and making them feel at home through out there high school experience. I have to be a positive role model for them and I had to come out of my comfort zone to show that you don't have to hide who you are in the school.
Attending the NTLP will make me see things around me a different way and make me take opportunities that I normally wouldn't take. This will help me explore my passion because maybe other teens might have the same passion that I have and I can learn something from them - and they can learn something from me.
"Jacqueline is already a leader at our school. She takes it upon herself to help and advise her classmates and is always setting an example of what it means to push herself and do her absolute best in every facet of our school community.
Jacqueline is a strong candidate for this program because there are few opportunities available to her within her own community. To develop the leadership and life skills necessary to be successful in college and beyond, she would benefit tremendously from the opportunity to develop strong, mentoring relationships through the NTLP program."
Thank you to everyone who's been pushing me to do better and to take advantage of new opportunities that have come my way. I can't wait to attend the National Teen Leadership Program! I am already thinking about it as it's getting closer! Words can't explain how excited and grateful I am!! Thank you.
