My passion is drawing comics.
Drawing comics became my passion because my father taught me how to draw when I was 8 years old. Over the past years, I have improved my drawing skills. I want to one day become famous for teaching people important information about life through my comics. I think that if I try my best, then I will be able to insert my passion into my life accomplishments.
By attending the UCLA Art Summer Institute, I will develop my art skills and begin to perfect my drawing. I plan to use the skills that I learn in my drawing and painting classes and apply them to my comics. I know that I won't be alone because I will meet wonderful people that will help me accomplish my passion.
"Osvaldo has a huge passion for art, and the summer institute at UCLA would be an incredible opportunity for him to explore his talent. Osvaldo has worked so hard in school the last couple of months, and doing something fun that also interests him over the summer would be a huge motivation for him to keep up his hard work. Osvaldo is so well-mannered and kind that I know he would get along great with other students and staff while studying something that he is passionate about. "
First of all, I just wanted to thank you all for funding my campaign. Going to UCLA changed my life because I had the chance to meet people from around the world. On the first day that I arrived on campus, I immediately fell in love with the campus. I also met the staff at UCLA. My teachers were David, Steve, and Robert. They were the most amazing people because they always were there to help. While I was at UCLA I learned how to make sculptures with different type of materials, like chicken wire, plaster, and other random materials that were thrown away in the trash. I also had the chance to go to different types of places in and around UCLA. Some examples of the places I went to are The Getty, Lacma, Santa Monica Beach, The Hammer and many more. Without your help I wouldn't have had the most amazing summer of my life. Again I want to thank you for the support that all of you gave me. THANK YOU very much!!!!!!!
