My passion is coding.
I first discovered my passion for coding after I learned the basics of coding with programs like Snap. I was amazed by how much I could create with a keyboard. Having the ability to create anything that I wanted with a few simple inputs excited me. My passion for coding only grew after I was shown around Google's headquarters at Mountain View. Seeing the environment coders and computer programmers work convinced me that my career will lie in the tech industry, and specifically, as coder. Filling my creative hunger, coding is a career path that I believe will suit me perfectly, and I am so grateful that I was exposed to this world.
Attending Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes will help pursue my passion for coding by giving me the experience of living on campus in one of the world's most renowned universities. Stanford also has an incredible computer science department. Personally, I have always wanted to attend Stanford University and getting accepted into this program will give me a feel of how life at Stanford is.
Vicente takes himself and his studies seriously. He has an impeccable GPA, which he maintains by frequently going to his teachers' office hours and asking for guidance that could push his A to an A+. Vicente is currently enrolled in the most rigorous classes our school has to offer his grade level in both English (AP English Language and Composition) and Math (Calculus), but he desires further academic enrichment. He needs the additional challenge of Stanford Pre-Collegiate Summer Institutes.
Hey! I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped me reach my goal of being able to attend this prestigious summer program. It has truly been a phenomenal experience just fundraising for this program and, even though it was at times stressful and nerve wrecking, I would still do this again. It was through this that I have grown to appreciate Wishbone even more and, most importantly, I have grown to appreciate the amazing people that are the donors. If it wasn't for Wishbone, I wouldn't have had the platform to expose myself to such grandeur and giving people. So, once again, I want to say thank you for all your help and I will update you guys after the program! :)
