My passion is acting.
I discovered my passion for acting at a young age, and as I got older I just knew it was what I wanted to do in the future. In 6th grade, I began to do school plays. In 7th grade, I performed a monologue that I wrote myself based on a girl who was crazy and was stuck in her past.
My drama teacher told me she loved my work and that I could go far in my life with acting. Recently, I have been taking acting classes to better myself. I performed a play based on the Lion King. I find that acting is the thing that catches my attention and I want to be able to be an actress one day.
Edrie has had opportunities to experience college environments on a local level, but as she enters into her junior year, having the opportunity to experience college beyond her local environment is a benefit to how she will plan for her college choices. SOCAPA Acting Bootcamp will also give her a chance to engage with students who share in her passion for the arts. In our third year we are hoping to move students to be leaders of programs within the school. This experience could boost Edrie's leadership opportunities and confidence in becoming a knowledgable and experienced leader.
Going to the SOCAPA Acting Bootcamp was the best experience I have ever had with acting. I got to do a live acting showcase which went excellent. I also got to star in 3 films it came out so beautiful. I am so glad that I went because I got to improve my acting skills. The program overall was great and the staff and students treated me great.
Hi, my name is Edrie. I just want to say thank you to everybody who helped me to raise the money for my campaign. I will be attending the program in August and I will start packing my stuff when the date comes closer. I am so grateful for this opportunity. Thank you once again because I would not be going to this program without you guys.
