Zakiyyah's Story

My passion is forensic science.

I discovered my passion for forensic science through television programs such as "Bones," "Quantico," and "Criminal Minds." These shows, although fictional, encouraged me to do my part in helping society. As an African-American female living in America, it is vital that I'm involved in the criminal justice system to fix the social injustices specifically dealing with race and gender. I aspire to join the FBI and pursue a career in criminal justice.

Zakiyyah is a sponge and pure lover of learning. The Blueprint Summer at Lehigh program will be invaluable to her and more importantly she will be an invaluable asset to the program. Her quick wit and superb listening skill make her an ideal lab or project partner, and her experience at North Star makes her ready for any challenge.
