Abigail's Story

My passion is to create justice.

I discovered this passion when I was about eight years old. I loved clues, puzzles, mazes and solving them using critical thinking. I loved and still love investigation shows like "Law & Order", "CSI", and "Forensic Files". I am fascinated at the work and appreciated it also. I want to be able to help people, do what's right, and be guided by nothing but justice.

I don't know where to get a head start on what I want to do for a living, but by attending the University of New Haven- CSI Academy, I can explore and purse my passion and get hands on experience in the types of fields I want to work in. Being able to take part in this amazing experience would also help me find out which specific branch of the government I'd like to work in.

A Note from Ms. Connell, Abigail's Teacher

Abigail is a good team player, and enjoys working in groups. She likes to gain different perspectives by working with her peers to learn not only about herself but others as well. She is a good candidate for the CSI Academy because she enjoys logic puzzles, problem solving, and forensic shows. She is very fascinated by them and this program would perhaps spark an interest in different career opportunities down the road.

Excited for CSI Academy!

Thank you so much for believing in me and supporting though this part of the journey. I can't wait to go to the CSI Academy and realize my full potential, learn a lot, and get lot of hands on experience. In school there's little to no opportunities to get experience in the field I want to work in when I am older, so being able to have this opportunity means a lot to me. I can't thank everyone enough!
