Juliana's Story

My passion is meeting new people.

When you start high school, you are emerged in a whole new environment with new people, friends and teachers. I have discovered throughout my freshmen year that I love interacting with my fellow classmates and socializing. Over the course of the past year, I have become an avid members of many community groups, church choirs and school activities like student leadership and student run clubs. Because of all the friendships/ acquaintances I have made, they have helped me be the person I am today because of the positive influence they’ve had on me.

Over the course of the past year, I have become an avid member of many community groups and school activities, allowing me to speak up in my community and by doing so, make many friends and acquaintances. Attending Nike Volleyball Camp will allow me to make new friends and learn a bit about them.

Excited for Volleyball Camp

This summer, I'm able to participate in the Nike Volleyball Camp at the University of California, Santa Cruz. I am super excited to partake in it because it will allow me to develop my volleyball skills and meet new people. I have never really had the chance to participate in any sports so this program would give me experience on the court and allow me to further explore my passion for meeting new people.

I am looking forward to meeting new people and bonding and growing our volleyball skills together as a team. I chose this program because I have always been interested in volleyball and I really want to immerse myself in volleyball so I can get better. I believe participating in this program will help me develop my skills so I can join my high school volleyball team and be involved in many extracurricular activities.
