My passion is cooking.
I've always enjoyed cooking. I like the smell of delicious pastries and the aroma of when my parents are cooking at home. I've been slowly learning how to cook our island food, which is Jamaican food, but I want to explore other cooking styles and foods. I would love for the Sur La Table Teen Cooking Program to help me learn how to cook amazing foods.
I love pastries, but I don't know how to bake any. I want to learn how to make frosting, and bake cakes, cupcakes, and creme brulee. Also, I want to learn how to make pastries because I want to be able to give back to my parents for once and let them taste something delicious that I've accomplished with this program.
Lisa is an excellent candidate for the Sur La Table Teen Cooking Program. She is a student who will truly take advantage of the learning opportunities that will be presented to her through this program. Cooking is already a passion of Lisa and she is hungry to learn more. Lisa will benefit greatly because cooking and baking is not an extracurricular that we offer at our school, so this is an opportunity that Lisa would not otherwise have. Additionally, I know that Lisa will genuinely take what she learns and show off her new baking acumen at home as she gives back to her family.
Hello guys, first off I want to say thank you so much sir your contributions! It wouldn't have been possible for me to attend this program if it weren't for you guys. So about the program it was so amazing we made so many delicious kinds of food. We made corn soup, mint pineapple churned sorbets, strawberry moose, margarita and BBQ pizza-which were amazing by the way-also grilled chicken and stir fried vegetables with noodles. All the dishes were amazing and I'm so glad that I got to have this experience.
I will be participating in the Sur La Table culinary cooking camp this summer. I am excited to be participating in this program because I love to cook and I'm open to learning new things every day. In my school we don't have a culinary class, unfortunately, which is why I'm excited about this program because I will get the opportunity to learn new things that I previously didn't know about. I think this program will help me learn more exciting ways to make desserts and to go further in my baking desire.
