My passion is engineering.
Engineering became my passion when I was a kid: I always used Legos to create ships, planes, and buildings. Now, I'm passionate about engineering because I know that it allows you to create new inventions for society and help make lives easier. When I see how closely engineering connects to me, I know that it is what I want to do.
NYIT Career Discovery in Technology & Engineering will develop my passion by allowing me to gain experience in engineering. Even though I'm fond of the subject, I've never been able to take a class or see how engineering actually works. This experience will also help me see how diverse the field of engineering is.

To all the people who have supported my experience in the NYIT Career Discovery of Engineering, I would like to say thank you. I am giving you all my gratitude because you all have allowed me to gain a new experience that will continue helping me follow my passion for engineering. All the workshops, such as game making, robotics, and electronic music, were such a blast for me. They allowed me to open my eyes and see what I want to focus on in engineering, including making me want to be on the biomechanical side of engineering. Furthermore, the experience allowed me to meet people that now I can call friends. Also, the professors were extremely encouraging and helping. One especially gave me one of the best advice, which was to keep on being who I am and to not allow anyone to discourage me. I do not know how I would have been able to do all the things I was able to do without your help. Once again, I thank all of my supporters and God bless.
I will be participating in NYIT Career Discovery for Technology and Engineering in New York City. This is an institution that focuses on arts and science for their students. For instance, this program has engineering as a field of science.
The reason why I chose NYIT is because it's a place where I can continue to follow the hopes and dreams that I've had ever since I was 11 years old. Overall, NYIT is the place where I can follow my passion.
I am looking forward to learning about how diverse the engineering field is. Even though I want to be in the Biomedical and Biomechanical field, I want to see the other aspects of engineering. Also, I would like to see what the engineers have to do in their field so I can see how the the workload is and how it will not be easy being an engineer. Overall, I am extremely excited, intrigued, and honored to have this Wishbone program. I can not wait until the time has come for me to begin to embark on this journey. Thank you and God Bless.
