My passion is science and medicine.
Whether I was in the doctors office, or reading articles online, I have always loved learning about the different tools and techniques that are used by doctors. I think that working in the medical field is the chance to help others in need. The profession is both exciting and compassionate, and I think I would do well.
Blueprint Summer at UConn will help me to get a better understanding of the heath and medicine profession. I will also understand which courses I will need, and what else I can do that will help me pursue a career in nursing. This program will be the start of my medical education, and I will take this knowledge into my career later in life.
Sanique has taken the time to seek opportunities for herself and has the drive to continue her passion. She doesn't see that being in a foreign place has put limits on her potential. She has extremely limited resources, and she only recently moved to America. She has adjusted tremendously and is one of my top students. She is respectful, kind and hard working.
I had a wonderful experience at blueprint summer @ UConn. Being at UConn was my first time away from my family but it was surprising to me how one could bond with complete strangers in only one week. I had amazing teachers throughout my program who though me a lot and now I have a better understanding of who and what I want to be. My teachers also addressed us as doctors which boosted my confidence. I learned about many other careers in medicine, some I which I knew and some I didn't. I also got CPR certified at my program. Apart form the fun I had in class, I also met new people from different backgrounds and we all quickly became friends and make our experience even more amazing. I want to thank everyone who contributed to my fundraising it meant a lot to me that you contributed and helped to have this wonderful experience.
I will be attending Blueprint Summer at UConn, all thanks to the people who donated to me from the kindness of their hearts. I am truly thankful to these people for helping me. I am really happy to be going to this program because ever since I was a child, I've always been eager to help others and always wanted to see others well. It was only natural that I chose a career in medicine. This program will help me to get a head start at following my dreams so that I could help people around the world.
It makes me proud to see such an intelligent, driven young lady considering a career in science. It's a long road, but you can do it! You deserve every chance to achieve your dream!
I am a physician and the first in my family to go into the medical field. It was not always easy to find the resources to further my education. I hope that this small gift helps you achieve your goals. NEVER GIVE UP and great, sometimes surprising, things will come to you.
