My passion is basketball.
Basketball became my passion because I started playing at a young age. I shot a lot of air balls at first, but I found out that if I kept trying I could be successful. So, I started going to the basketball court everyday after school to practice. I didn't start seriously improving until I started to practice with handling and shooting. Now that I work everyday in the gym, I know that I'm on the way to becoming the best that I can be.
Attending Nike Basketball Camps will develop my passion by making me better and helping me take the sport more seriously. I will do the best I can to improve and take advantage of going to this camp.
"Nufun's high school start was a rough one because he still had a "Middle School" mentality. Through a series of one-on-ones, family involvement, and coaching, Nufun has managed to turn it around. Excellent teamwork and basketball have activated Nufun's intelligence, allowing us to expose him to the realities of being the best that he can be. Since then, Nufun has become one of better freshmen. He has a "never give up" attitude and is determined to be successful. He is hardworking, enthusiastic, loyal, and cooperative.
Nufun is a great candidate for Nike Basketball Camp because of the exposure that the camp provides. A lot of youngsters play basketball, but few train to be better ball players. This camp would educate Nufun on what it really takes to be good, and being around players who already understand what it takes would only enhance Nufun's growth."
Thank you so much for this opportunity. I never thought this would happen. I never thought people would help me out with my passion and set me up for success instead of failure. I am one lucky person because not everybody has a chance to attend this program or any other basketball programs. I will take advantage of this. I will also be serious and focused on this while I'm at the camp. It's a life changing thing. Not only will it make me better physically but also mentally because this camp seems like they work and help people become tougher overall. I can't wait to attend.
