My passion is law.
Law became my passion in 2008 after watching "Law and Order" for the first time with my family. My favorite parts were when the strong-willed, passionate female lawyers would fight for the justice of a victim. Even though the scenes in the show did not depict real cases, the lawyers did depict real life. However, in the show, you mainly see white female lawyers. I want to change this by becoming a successful black lawyer.
Attending the National Youth Leadership Forum on Law & CSI will help me focus more on law by helping me strengthen my knowledge about what it actually means to be a lawyer. I love law, and I believe that attending this program over the summer will help have a successful future law career.

She is a student who I know will ask conceptual, thought-provoking questions in class, and who is always willing to discuss her work and opinions with other students. Kieara is also passionate about life outside of class; our students are required to go on community service trips each month, and Kieara is the most dedicated volunteer in our advisory. To my knowledge, Kieara is the only student who has taken the initiative to continue her community service independently. This shows not only her motivation and persistence, but also her dedication to helping those around her.
Kieara is a confident, out-going young woman who is a natural leader. If she is able to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Law & CSI, she will bring a tremendous amount of passion and a willingness to learn and grow. Ever since I have known Kieara she has been talking about how she wants to be a lawyer, and this program would be an excellent opportunity for her to learn more about what that career would entail."
Thank you so much for funding my program, if it were not for you support I would have been unable to go one step closer to becoming a lawyer. Thank you so much for helping me get closer to success. This summer I enlisted in Envision and learned so many different things about the aspects of being a lawyer, the highlights and the risks, and also took time to meet new people who had similar aspirations as me. Because of you supporters ,my summer was worthwhile: it was packed with legal opportunities like going to the supreme court and the capital. Thank You!
I want to thank you guys so much for helping me have the opportunity to go to George Washington University over the summer. I really appreciate and admire you for supporting my dream of continuing to work on my passion for law.
