My passion is music.
For years, music has shaped my life. I remember back in 2008 Taylor Swift was beginning her career, and nowadays she still sings. I imagine doing the same to songs that I will one day compose if I ever get the chance to sing in front of a crowd.
San Mateo School of Rock will better let me understand music and the genre rock. I really like 80's music especially those power ballads. Hopefully at this camp, I will better understand how to rock out on the guitar like how Santana and any famous guitarists have done.
"Victor loves music and he loves being the center of attention. Victor would like to be a musical performer, but, due to limited resources, he has been unable to do so. We don't really have a very strong performing arts program or music program at our school. Despite this, Victor has been doing his best to pursue his passion in any way that he can. He has been teaching himself guitar for quite some time now. He also arrives to school about an hour early each morning to watch music videos and listen to music and talk about music with his friends."
Over the summer I will be attending San Mateo School of Rock. I'm so excited to join the program because I will be able to understand strings and chords on the guitar a lot better than teaching myself. At school we don't have a musical class were students get to learn and practice a musical instrument. So this will be a good opportunity for me.
I am looking forward to this program because I will meet people that have a passion for music just like me. I have always wanted to play the guitar but there's some chords that I just can seem to get right.
