Naomi's Story

My passion is music.

I have a serious obsession with music. Ever since I was four years old I have been exploring music. As I got older my passion for music became more of a daily activity. My grandfather, grandmother, father and uncle were all DJ's. My grandfather was a DJ for WBLS, I spent lots of time with him during those days. Because of that I fell in love with turn tables and creating my own beats. I also began to write poetry to go along with my beats that I created. My grandfather shorty after had passed away from cancer and instead of stepping away from music I stepped up. Music became my safe haven for expressing my emotions as well as telling a story. Music helped me calm down and look at things differently. I began to realize that music is my passion because I cant live without it.

Naomi has been my student for several years, so I have had the privilege of seeing Naomi grow and develop since I taught her as an eighth-grade student in English class. Naomi has become a strong, independent, motivated and motivational person over the years I have known her. These traits make her more than qualified for FIT High School Summer Live.

Before the FUN!!!

I am so grateful and exited to attend my F.I.T Summer Live program tomorrow. I was determined to accomplish and learn how to solve new challenges during this pre-college experience. I am excited to get more information on the fashion industry and push my talent to the best it can be. Thank you so much!!
