Courtney's Story

I discovered my passion for journalism because I was always so interested in writing. Ever since I could even learn how to write I haven’t stopped. Whether it be writing in journals or just talking about how my day has been so far, writing has been a huge part of my life and created such an impact.

I believe attending Centenary Summer Scholars will help pursue my passion for writing because it will help me enhance my writing skills and help me become a better writer. It will also help me with my college applications coming up and prepare me for college.

Courtney is a very hard worker and goes above and beyond in every task that she sets goals for. Courtney is a top notch student and is involved in various activities both in and outside of school. She is very passionate about writing and has a strong sense of family values. She is always looking for opportunities to continue to grow as a student and a young lady. Her participation in Centenary Summer Scholars will allow her to continue developing the necessary skills for her to be a leader in her school and community.
