My passion is technology.
I discovered my passion for technology and engineering this year. One day, I want to open my own business, and having strong skills in technology will be really important. I see myself as a self-starter and an innovative thinker. I will use these skills when attending the iD Tech Camps Connecticut. I am excited to meet other people that have the same passion as I do. This is my dream, and to do that for my career would be amazing. I know it won't be easy, but if I put in effort and hard work, anything is possible.
Liseth is a student with a clear focus on her future, who works extra hard to be successful in all of her endeavors. I have know her since 5th grade, when I was her ELL teacher, and she was the kid who always came for extra help on her own, walked to school early to prep for tests, and was articulating as early as 6th grade how important higher education was to her and her family. As she entered high school, her interest in technology has developed. Unfortunately, there are not many experiences in her community for her to get exposure and mentoring in this area, and I feel the iD Tech Camps Connecticut is uniquely suited to provide her with these experiences and help prepare her for high school. With her level of maturity, integrity and her work ethic, I know this will be a life-changing experience for her.
A few weeks ago I finally attended Fairfield University ID Tech camp. I enjoyed my stay there and i really enjoyed what I learned which was to code. Although it was something different for me I really liked the challenge overall. I liked my week at Fairfield University I did something I was really interested in for my future. I believe that my experience will help me in some way in my future. Thank you all for helping me to have this wonderful experience!
I am going to be attending ID Tech Summer camp this summer. I am so glad to be going because I get to learn so many new things that I feel I would use for my career choice. We live in a world where technology is growing so quick and technology is where I can start something and offer so much more. I believe that this program will help me achieve what I'm really capable of and so much more I can learn. Today there's not many women in the technology field and I want to change social norms. I'm really looking forward to pursuing something I actually have interest in and with this program I believe it will grow my interest in technology.
