My passion is game design.
Gaming has always be an interest for me, but I would like to learn how these amazing games are made. I would like to be able to create something that others will enjoy playing. I am a 9th grader with big dreams, and will be attending college in the future. I plan on majoring in game design and I want to eventually turn it into a career. I have taken a computer engineering class before and I am taking an engineering class this year, so I feel as if this should be my next step. I haven't had many opportunities, so I am excited for the chance to learn more about game design.
Through the DMA Teen Summer Camps, John will be able to pursue his burgeoning intellectual passion for game design on a deeper level, more than we could within the school. The STEM fields are what really interest John, and I know his vast potential will be developed. In my teaching career, I know summer experiences have the power to motivate students long term- especially in fields that students can't access during their high school years. John is a student who will particularly benefit and gain long-lasting academic traction through such an engaging summer program.
