I had never had a more productive and life changing summer. Thanks to Wishbone and my donors I got to go to an amazing summer program where I learned all about the journalism world and even discovered that I also like broadcast journalism.

During these 9 days. I got to step out of my comfort zone whether it was meeting new people or raising my hand during a discussion with a room full of people. I truly believe that I will remember this experience for the rest of my life. I got to build friendships and spend time with a lot of diverse and intelligent people that wanted to go into the same career as me. I even discovered that I have the potential to be a leader and I just need to step out of my comfort zone. Through this program I have gained confidence in public speaking and being a leader.

My team and made a film that was challenging at first with the script, but we got through it because we maintained our focus and got to also have fun with the camera angles and the characters. Overall we were very proud of our film, which was about a girl that could teleport and struggles when her school finds out that she can. We learned how to edit and collaborate as well.

This program truly changed who I am as an individual, and I have more confidence and motivation to be the best I can be. If it weren't for the lovely donors, I would've never had this amazing experience. Once again I thank you so much and thank you for changing my life in the best way.

This summer I will be attending the NSLC Journalism, Film, and Media Arts summer program. Thanks to your contribution I will go to my dream summer program. I am extremely excited and blessed to have this opportunity. Its exciting to participate in a program in which I will be able to meet other teens who want to go into the same career as me. It's amazing and new. Going to this program I hope to gain knowledge about journalism and media arts which are some of my favorite topics. This program will definitely help me grow into a strong writer. I'm also very excited to discover and learn my potential in the journalism world and see whether I can aspire to be a good journalist. I'm very excited to be able to explore my dream university UC Berkeley and experience the beauty of the campus and living in the dorms. Writing has helped me reflect and see the world in a completely different way. I'm ecstatic that I got the opportunity to attend this program. I will enjoy it as its fullest and discover a potential that I never knew I had. Thank you once again for your donation. I appreciate it so much!
