Sar'Ja's Story

I discovered my passion for medicine at a very young age. I was personally impacted by the benefits of medicine. My experiences made me realize my true calling; caring for others in their time of need.

Attending UConn Pre-College Summer Program will determine if I really have what it takes to become a doctor. I know it will not be easy along the way, but I have the ambition to pursue my lifelong dream. No matter the outcome, nothing will stop me from striving for excellence.

I do not believe there is a better candidate for UConn Pre-College Summer Program than Sar'ja. She is a motivated young woman who knows exactly what she wants. She has the drive to be successful and I know this program will serve to help her grow in a field she is passionate about, as well as to give her more fuel to help drive her towards meeting her life goals. Sar'Ja will work as hard as anyone at the program and this will give her a glimpse into what the college experience and work is like. All of these things will help give Sar'ja a leg up as she enters her senior year of high school and then again as she begins college.
