My passion is mythology and science.
I discovered my passion for Mythology through my teacher who did a lesson on mythology around the world and the different Gods, Goddesses and Immortals. It was very cool. My passion for science has come from the experiments that I have done in science classes. Dissecting a frog and to making elephant toothpaste(not actual toothpaste) has inspired me. It was also my teachers who really made science class fun and interesting, to make me start asking questions on how things worked and why they worked.
This program will help me explore my passion. New teachers could inspire me and I'll be going to a college that has an official science lab that could do more that what a high school science lab can do. Since I am in the 11th grade, going to the summer school would be a great opportunity to understand the rigor and the hard work that it takes to be in college in 2017, which is not very far away.
As his former AP World History teacher and current adviser for the past two school years, I have had the pleasure of witnessing Kirt form a study group for AP Biology with four other peers to prepare for labs and unit tests. Kirt is an exemplary candidate for this program because of the consistency he displays daily to all of his teachers and peers as a scholar and gentleman. Kirt is a curious, kind student and only needs to sharpen his focus in a beautiful collegiate atmosphere. Kirt is the type of student who I can wholeheartedly envision as being inspired greatly from this experience and using a mutual exchange between those he meets as an advantage to him down the road.
Kirt Warner if everyone had half the heart you did, the world would be a better place. I am still inspired by the story Ms. McCormick shared that day long ago at BSC. I'm so excited to hear about this amazing opportunity you will be taking. You can do anything, keep it up!! Thank you for inspiring me! - Ms. Kashi
