My passion is art. I was always taught to express my emotions and feelings through art. At a young age, I was able to draw out my emotions and how I was feeling. During my freshmen year of high school, I took Ms. Carr's class, where she taught me how to draw portraits and more realistic drawings. Attending UConn Pre-College Summer Program would allow me to discover more about art and see beyond art and help me set a life path for me. Not only would it help me discover more about art but also more about myself.
Elaijah has always been an engaging and active participant in anything she chooses to do. She will have much to add to UConn Pre-College Summer Program and those around her.
Elaijah is one of the most positve and uplifting students I have ever met. The joy she experiences when creating art fills a room. Any time I have offered special opportunities, she has participated with enthusiasm. She works on extra projects at home, always coming up with her own ideas. Elaijah advocates for herself and her interests.
