My passion is basketball. I discovered my passion for basketball in 7th grade. I began to play basketball after school, and it soon became my favorite outlet. Seeing myself progressively get better and the fact that I was able to compete with people in a competitive manner fueled me to keep playing. I have always felt that the only factor about my development as a basketball player that has held me back from getting to the skill level of most top tier amateur basketball players in my state is the fact that I have never had any proper coaching or practiced on an inside basketball court consistently for more than 1 month.
So, with all this in mind I believe that the PGC Playmaker College II will be the perfect fit for me because since I will be close to an inside basketball court at all times. Also, I have faith that at the Playmaker College, the coaching staff will be able to teach me the fundamentals of the game of basketball and the knowledge of the game necessary to be an elite player.
Alberth is an outstanding applicant for the PGC Playmaker College II because he is extremely focused and dedicated to achieving what he sets his mind to. He is consistently one of the top performers in math class, has a high GPA, and always implements feedback. When first getting to know Alberth, I asked him what his greatest strength was, and he said "laughing". He is one of the most positive, happy, and mature students I teach, and enjoys every moment of every day. He goes out of his way to say friendly hellos to staff and students, and has built strong relationships with all of his teachers. Alberth is a great positive influence to any group he is apart of, and will be a strong team player on the basketball court.
