My passion is volleyball.
I discovered my passion for volleyball about 2 years ago when I turned on the television and happened to see a volleyball game. When I saw it, I immediately fell in love with the sport. The amount of power the women had when spiking and serving the ball made me want to be just like them. My freshman year, I tried out for volleyball, but unfortunately didn't make the cut. I was devastated, but this experience made me want to work harder. The following year, I tried out and made the team, all my hard work had finally payed off. This was a big moment for me because I finally found something that made me feel genuinely happy.
Attending US Sports Nike Volleyball Camp will give me an opportunity that I have been looking for. It will help me advance my skills in volleyball. This will also help me meet new people that have the same passion and commitment to volleyball as I do. I will take advantage of everything they teach me because I don't get this type of opportunity everyday. This camp can help me improve to be on varsity next year and help me face my opponents with confidence and skill.
Sofia is the kind of student who perseveres despite challenges. Sofia had tried out for the volleyball team multiple times before making the cut. She is someone who had identified a goal and did not give up until she finally made the team this year. Her dedication and commitment became apparent when she attended every off season training, stayed after practice to get a few more hits in, and was overall a very engaged player.
Attending US Sports Nike Volleyball Camp will give her a confidence boost to propel her to greatness in both volleyball and elsewhere. She is aware that there is room for improvement in her game, and she takes every comment as a means to improve. Sofia shows signs of having great leadership potential as well as potential for great athletic skills. She will greatly benefit from attending US Sports Nike Volleyball Camp.
