My passion is theater, especially musical theater.
I was a very shy child, but when I discovered musicals I found an outlet that I was really comfortable with. I auditioned for my first musical in third grade. It taught me so much about confidence, storytelling, public speaking, and being a leader. I have auditioned and performed in many musicals since.
Attending NSLC Theater will help me pursue my passion for Musical Theater and will help me achieve my dream of being a Broadway actress. I have never taken an acting class before, and I think I could really benefit from this opportunity. I can take what I know about theater and improve my skills. I have never been to NYC before either, and I feel that it is important for me to be exposed to the city and see Broadway in person if I am going to really pursue this dream.
Photini would love nothing more than an opportunity for the NSLC Theatre program! Photini is a seriously dedicated and passionate student who would not only deeply appreciate the acceptance into a program such as this one, but also would be provided with an opportunity to pursue her passion in New York City. She has shown her love and passion for Broadway, and yet has not stepped foot in the city. This program will provide a chance for Photini to step into a college level theatre program that will benefit her for a lifetime, and will give her an opportunity to practice her skills beyond her high school walls.
Hello! I would like to thank everyone again for donating. Because of you I was able to go to New York City and learn so many things that will be extremely useful in my career. I met so many wonderful people who are successfully in the theatre business who gave a lot of good advice. I also made a lot friends that I'm still in touch with today! It was an amazing experience that I will never forget, and I feel more prepared than ever for the school year.
I got accepted into NSLC Theater program all thanks to you! I am looking forward to spending two weeks in New York City improving my knowledge and skills in the theater world. I hope to gain experience in a New York City environment. I am most excited to meet other fellow thespians.

Photini is an enthusiastic, talented and hard working young lady. Ever since she was a student in my first grade class, I knew she was capable of accomplishing amazing things. I also appreciate all the volunteering she has done at Benjamin Franklin School, and the help she has been to so many people. Also, as Dr. Seuss once said: Congratulations! Today is your day. You're off to Great Places. You're off and away!
