In July 5-11, I attended New York Film Academy in LA. Thanks to everyone who supported me and donated to my campaign! I can't thank all of you enough for giving me this amazing experience. I was also lucky enough to attend with one of my closest friends: Dafne. Dafne and I were both roommates in the Oakwood Apartments we stayed in. One of the coolest things was walking back to our room and seeing all the film cameras and lights set out at night. The reason for all these cameras was because there was a show being filmed where we were staying! We were in the city where dreams came true. Every morning we had to be wake up at around 7 to be at class at 8. We were in a hurry everyday to get ready, there was a lot of responsibility because we didn't have our parents to wake us up or cook for us. When we would come back we had to make our own breakfast and dinner. I didn't just learn about being responsible but about ACTING. Which is what I went there for. I never thought I would be able to because of financial problems in my family, but Wishbone really helped me. It was a dream come true, the minute I stepped off of the plane. Being inside an acting class was so wonderful. Everyone was from so many different places like Russia, Canada, Florida, London, Alabama, etc. It was nice learning from their different cultures, but also about how they started liking acting and acting techniques. I made a lot of friends and they were all so supportive with me, even though it was my first time in an acting class. The teachers were all really funny, they wanted you to enjoy their class but also give you a lot of information in just a week. The information they gave me made me more confident as an actor. I learned about my weaknesses and strengths as an actress, and most importantly that I want to continue pursuing this career in college. I hope to come back to NYFA because I feel it's the perfect fit for me. If I learned a lot in just a week, I wonder what I will learn in 2 years or 4.

I am going to be attending NYFA 1-week acting camp, and I couldn't be more excited! Anyone who I talked to knows how much work I put into getting into this program. I choose this program because I enjoy acting and creating as well as editing videos. I believe that being with a group of people who have the same dream as mine will inspire me to also chase my dreams. I know this type of career is hard, but I want to pursue it because it's one that I will enjoy. I'm looking forward to learning a lot, having more confidence in the future, and having fun this summer!
