My passion is sports.
This was my passion ever since I was a small child. My parents told me when I was young that I would always have a soccer ball at my feet. Every time I had the chance, I would go outside and play soccer with my father. My father was a professional player for his country St. Lucia. He was the best on his team and everybody respected and looked up to him. When I have children one day, I want my kids to look up to me as someone who was able to reach his goal against all the odds.
Nike Basketball Camp would help me because there will be a lot of kids that have different types of skills and leadership qualities, so we can learn from each other and help each other grow in different ways. I will also also learn more about basketball, which will be of help to me in my quest.
"Amari LOVES sports. I can't recall a conversation we've had where he hasn't incorporated the sport in some part of the conversation. Amari is a good candidate for Nike Basketball Camps because he has a strong desire to grow in his craft. He is not a perfect student but is very insightful about what he needs to do to become an overall better athlete and person. His best asset is his willingness to learn and do better."
