My passion is volleyball.
My love for volleyball began in elementary school. I recall sitting in the stands mesmerized as I watched the high school girls play with power and agility. My passion for the game was sparked and I knew that I wanted to be a part of the excitement that occurred when a player masterfully spiked the ball, blocked a shot, or scored the point after an extended period of volleying. I tried other sports – soccer, track & field – but there was no joy when I played them. Technique and the fundamentals of any sport can be taught but love for the game flows out of the heart of the player. Volleyball is what I love and being part of a strong team of committed players who love the game is where I want to be!
Khatia is also an active member of the Timothy community by participating on the volleyball team. She has a love and dedication to volleyball that excels, yet she is also responsible in keeping up with her school work. All of her talents and attributes contribute to her potential to make a positive difference in her life and those around her. I believe that Khatia can achieve any goal presented to her. Given the opportunity, Khatia can continue to succeed to be an important part of our society.
Thank you to everyone that donated and helped send me to the Nike Volleyball Camp! It was a great experience and helped me earn a spot on the Girls Varsity Team at my new High School! Thank you!
I am going to be participating in the Nike Volleyball Camp this summer. I am really excited to be joining the program because it will help me improve my game!
I am looking forward to working with the college coaches and other young people my age to practice, learn, and grow together. I chose this program because I love volleyball and want to be the best player I can be.
