My passion is Basketball.
I discovered my passion for basketball when I was young. Growing up, my older brother played all the time, and I used to go to the park and play street ball with him and his older friends. I just always liked to learn new moves and to push my self to get better at it.
Attending Nike Basketball Camp will help me explore my passion and love for basketball. I will be able to extend my skills in basketball and learn how to work as a team with others. I will be with a bunch of new people I don't know, and this will help me to become a better individual. Also, I can use my teamwork skills in other parts of life inside and outside school as I get older.
Kavaughn is extremely passionate about basketball. He was determined to earn a spot on the UPC basketball team. Once he made the team, Kavaughn worked hard both on and off the court. He demonstrated tons of tenacity while in class by completing all assignments to ensure that he met the academic requirements in order to maintain his position on the team. Kavaughn is a good candidate for the Nike Basketball Camp because he is passionate about basketball, responsible and eager to build new relationships with peers that share the same interest and passion as him. Kavaughn would truly benefit from the experience and the exposure to a different environment and a positive group of people. I am confident that Kavaughn will put 100% in to the program if he were selected.
