My passion is creation.
I have walked the streets of Los Angeles and looked at the people around me. Even though they are strangers to me, they play a pivotal role in society because they are all a consumer of some sort of media. A person chooses media because it has touched them deeply in their heart and soul. If not for media, then the world would be dull and static without motivation to evolve. Whether it be film, music, technology or anything in between, creating and sharing is my passion because it allows others to interpret your work, which could lead them to some sort of inspiration of their own.
I believe that my passion for creation is something beautiful and can not only empower me but also others. By being in a program like Digital Media Academy, I would be able to express myself in ways that would let me explore my surroundings and create a new beginning.

First off, I want to give many thanks to all of the people who supported me and donated funds so that I will be able to go to the camp this summer. I want to give an even bigger thanks for my mentor, Mr. Yan, for going above and beyond in always pushing to do my best both in school and outside of school.
Now that the time to go to Digital Media Academy is coming closer and closer everyday, I am truly excited that I will be able to go and expand my knowledge of my musical passion. I am very grateful that I will be in the Ableton music production program because I have a deep connection with creation, and this will allow me to learn how to master a program that works with music production, a career that I am planning to study.
While I am there, I am looking forward to getting to meet and connect with everyone because I know that as I connect with people, they could become assets in helping me accomplish my goals. I am also looking forward to seeing the creativity of everyone in my course because in music production it is all about collaborating to create something that is unique. Lastly, I want to end by thanking everyone once again because without their help I would not be able to have this amazing opportunity that will change my life forever.

I know what it feels like to want something and seeing the look on your parent/guardians face wishing that they can get it for you but not being able to because of money. Don't let the money issue stop you from pursuing your dreams. The road might be tough but Definately not impossible for someone with passion and will. Hope this helps you.
