My passion is film and media.
The first thing I remember when we first moved to Hayward is my mom taking me to the theaters. The movie we saw was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Everything from the colors and the candy to the characters and the oompa-loompas was simply marvelous to my young mind. From that day on, my mom and sisters would always come to the theater with me just to see the new amazing films that had just came out. Suddenly, I was watching movies like Harry Potter and Wonder Woman at any moment I could, just to admire the amazing detail in each film. I knew that I had to somehow expand my knowledge and passion.
Attending US Performing Arts Acting for the Camera will help me explore my passion for film and media because it will help me learn about the development of cinema and how it became a cultural and industrial phenomenon around the world. This program will help me pursue my passion, learn new things, and meet possible future friends all at once! I believe this will be an amazing opportunity for my mindset and growth.
When Xitlaly joined our school, she was a shy 9th grader. I have seen her flourish in her collaborating, thinking and communication skills. US Performing Arts Acting for the Camera will definitely benefit from her skills and perspective because our school does not give student opportunities to students to learn about this topic. She will be an amazing addition to the program and will benefit greatly from it.
