My passion is art and science.
Art became my passion when I was in 6th grade and had a great art teacher. When I took her class, I really liked how it felt to make a piece. Science, on the other hand, became a passion of mine when I was 7th grade because I had a science teacher who let us make projects of our own, which really helped me understand what I was learning.
I will develop my passion for art at the Academy of Art Summer Pre-College Art Experience because I will be able to try something new and determine whether I want to become designer in fashion, art, or something else.

I have noticed her getting help from other students when she is confused; she truly cares about the understanding of the material as well as the grade. She is a conscientious student who works her hardest to achieve her goals.
Participating in the Academy of Art Summer Pre-College Art Experience will give Maria the opportunity to expand her art knowledge and give her the time to work on her skills while unpacking new learnings. I had so much fun at the Academy of Arts University pre college program. It was so awesome seeing all the people who are into the arts, and also it was awesome learning all of the things I did. All of the help I received from the Wishbone staff when I needed help was great, and also I always received a fast response to my emails with questions or concerns I had. I really loved the opportunity to be in the program and hope to maybe go again in the future.
Maria is a rockstar! I have the pleasure of working with her everyday and I want to support so she can continue to grow as a strong, independent leader!
