I discovered my passion for nursing through my Mom. My Mom is a surgical tech, and I have always admired her work. When I told my Mom I want to be a humanitarian, she encouraged me to explore careers in the medical field, which are one way to pursue this interest. We have discussed professions and after careful research, I have decided to study to become a nurse anesthetist.
The Adelphi Winthrop Summer Science Institute will help me pursue my passion for medicine by providing hands-on learning opportunities before I even get to college. This program will provide opportunities to learn from professionals in the field and peers who are also pursuing dreams of medical professions.
Viola's academic record, especially in math and science courses, evidences a strong aptitude for future academic growth in these areas. The Adelphi Winthrop Summer Science Institute will allow Viola to access topics that she will be unlikely to encounter in her high school school curriculum. This background will inspire her to further her carefully considered goals of pursuing her collegiate and medical career. I also believe that this program will give Viola a chance to have powerful interactions with those in the medical field. (Her mother is a nurse, so she has already thought very carefully about this field.) This program will allow Viola to experience lectures by current medical professionals on how best to pursue a career in the medical field. Viola has an innate sense of compassion for others, and these personal qualities, as well as her academic commitment, will allow her to make valuable contributions to this program.
Thank you for allowing me to go to this program and learn a little bit more about my future Profession, anesthesia. I made a lots of new friends got a lot more information about not only anesthesia and other areas in the medical field but also college life as well. I even got certified in CPR! So thank you for giving me this opportunity.
Thank you for donating and giving me this chance to go to Adelphi University and learn more about nursing. I will be commuting to the campus.
