I'd like to start off by saying thank you to everyone who helped me get to this summer program. It was the best experience I've ever had. Not only did I learn an enormous amount of useful information about my career, but I also learned a lot about life, leadership, and friendship. My outlook on a lot of things changed for the better because of this program. I've learned about being a leader, problem solving, and appreciating the people around me. I learned a lot about friendship and that it is really simple to make friends and just listen and talk to people. I've made lasting friendships that I'll treasure forever. Of course, I learned a lot about my career as well, from acquiring certain skills to just being confident enough in myself and what I want to do with the rest of my life. Over the course of my summer program I went to workshops with professionals in the field of theater, saw Broadway shows, and went to panels with famous directors, lighting designers, actors, stage managers, and met many more amazing people. I went to leadership lectures with an amazing speaker who taught me a lot about life, people, and myself. The most amazing part of the program though was getting to bond with my TA's and my TA group. They are an amazing bunch of people that I got to spend the best summer of my life with and I wouldn't trade my experience with them for anything else. So thank you so, so much for letting me have this experience! I am immensely grateful!

I am going to be attending the NSLC Theater program at Fordham University this summer. I'm really looking forward to going to this program because I love to perform and I would love to spend the summer doing what I enjoy the most. As the school year comes to a close, I'll no longer be able to participate in theater in school. I'm very excited that I can continue my passion over the summer and attend such an amazing program that will help me develop my craft and become closer to perfecting it.

I'm really looking forward to work-shopping with professional actors both affiliated with the program and on Broadway! I cannot wait to learn from them and my teachers at the program, as well as work alongside other participants to better ourselves and create a wonderful performance. I chose this program because I have loved to act and be onstage ever since my first production in 6th grade. I plan to go into theater, more specifically acting, as my career, and I know this program will help me better my skill set and hopefully make connections in the New York theater community. Most importantly, I know that I will definitely have fun this summer!
