Anastasia's Story

My passion is basketball.

Ever since I was 5 years old, I have been in love with the game of basketball. It's a sport that both my parents played as kids and take pride that I have followed in their foot steps. Basketball is game that requires one to be a team player and team encourager. I happen to be both. I love to win, and when I don't win, I take time to see what I could have done differently.

I believe US Sports Nike Basketball Camps will give me an opportunity to learn new skills, such as more efficient ways to bring the ball down the court. I am looking forward to meeting new people and learning new things. I'm just excited to be around others who love the game as much as I do.

A Note from Ms. Lloyd, Anastasia's Teacher

Along with teaching Anastasia, I also assist with coaching her basketball team, and believe that she is a good candidate for US Sports Nike Basketball Camps. I believe this because I've been watching her grow not only as a scholar, but as a player. She has her frustrations on the court, just like any other player, but she has been working very hard and succeeding at not allowing those frustrations drive her style of play. Attending US Sports Nike Basketball Camp, Anastasia will benefit in a variety of ways. She will develop a great deal of skills that I believe she can bring back to her teammates and continue to help encourage them to play and show off the skills she learned.
