My passion is photography.
In recent years, I began comparing the differences between being in front of a camera and being behind the camera, this created a juxtaposition in my mind that ignited a value for photography. Being behind the camera required a simple smile and a joyful ambiance, on the other hand, being behind the camera required a keen eye for detail and a desire to capture the essence of people rather than just an appearance. I later began taking pictures at school events and family parties which further developed my passion for capturing emotions through a camera.
Attending Academy of Art Summer Pre-College Art Experience would be beneficial for me because I not only get to interact with other like minded people but, I will also be able to explore the different perspectives and styles that other young photographers have. Secondly, I get to explore areas outside of my home that could bring rich and new photographic possibilities. Lastly, I can document my development in this summer program that I can use to compare my growth in the future.
Kevin is an excellent candidate for Academy of Art Summer Pre-College Art Experience for the reason that Kevin truly has a heart for the arts. This is an expectation that he has for himself. He diligently works to develop and explore his skills, while relentlessly continuing to make a difference within his community and school campus. Kevin will benefit from participating with this program as he would certainly absorb and employ the wealth of information and experience provided to him! Kevin strongly believes in the long-term benefits of new educational experiences for individuals who struggle with concepts and who need longer periods of time to process their learning. Kevin maintains that these extended periods allow a person to "dig deeper", to investigate concepts and to think deeply about topics and ideas. Through all of the challenges he has faced, he has persevered and accomplished his goals.
It has been a hard preparation. I'm so excited for this whole opportunity coming my way. Real big thanks to everyone who helped me make my dreams come one more step to reality.
