Ismerai's Story

My passion is dance.

Dance has been my passion ever since my Quinceañera. My parents paid a choreographer to teach me dances for my party. When I danced, the choreographer said that I performed with movement that showed a lot of kindness and thought. My choreographer was the one who made me like dance because at first I was shy about performing. After my Quinceañera, I just let my body move and used my brain to remember every step I had to make.

Taking classes at BDC will help me learn new dance moves so that I can become a better dancer. It will also help me decide if I want to take up a different style of dance or continue with hip hop. Being able to get up and do something for myself this summer makes me feel good.
