Adams's Story

My passion is basketball.
I know that basketball was my passion since the first day I touched the ball. At that moment, I realize that I loved the sport and I wanted to do anything to make me a better player individually and as a team player. I love playing against other people and with other people. Also, I love to entertain people that watch me with my competitiveness and my skill as a player. Basketball is by far my favorite thing in the world. A basketball court is where I feel most at home.

Attending PGC Playmaker College II will allow me to spend my summer continuing a sport that I'm incredibly passionate about. I believe my experience at PGC will help me polish my skills and further my playing abilities on the court.

A Note from Ms. Bostic, Adams's Counselor

For Adams, basketball is life. It is the driving force of motivation for all he does, both academically and socially. Having the opportunity to attend the PGC Playmaker College II will help Adams to refine his athletic skills and set him up even more to purse college level basketball and hopefully on a professional level as well. Additionally, it will expose him to a diverse pool of talent which varies from his current environment in Brooklyn. This will have long term social benefits on Adams interactions and world view. It will help cultivate skills necessary to build relationships with those who are different from him, which he will need in college and his career.

Update

I am excited about attending my Wishbone program this summer. It will be a new experience, and I am prepared to learn new things and meet new people that will teach me new things about the game of basketball. And I am happy that the location of my program is pretty close to home.
