My passion is music.
My passion for music is something that I have been interested in since I could remember. Music has always been a relaxing escape from reality. I have always wanted to do what I see on YouTube, for example, watching Glass Animals perform live. School of Rock will be a amazing start towards my goal, which is starting a band to make music.
Attending the School of Rock will greatly improve my confidence to continue working on music and pursuing the career choice that means the most to me. I see this camp as an open door for me to gain a better understanding of what it is like to be a musician in the real world.
"The School of Rock Day Camp would be an amazing opportunity for David to explore, develop, and build on his passions and interests in music. Without the support of Wishbone, this opportunity would not be possible for David. Because of his unique situation and background he will have extremely limited opportunities for how he spends his summer and even fewer that will help him grow and cultivate new interests, skills, or hobbies. A fun and exciting opportunity like School of Rock will motivate him and engage him in a new environment that allows him to act on his interests rather than his needs."
Just about a month away from attending the summer camp and its amazing to see how far I've come since the beginning of the school year. This will be a life changing experience for sure. I'm ready, extremely excited, and just overall greatful that I get to dedicate a whole week to something I truly love Thank you
