My passion is volleyball.
Growing up, I did not have anything against opening up and talking about my feelings. As I got older, I started to notice that some people just do not care how I feel. Volleyball then became something that I turned to when I had to get something off my chest. Eventually, volleyball became my escape.
When someone turns to something to escape their problems, then they become better than those who are doing it just for fun. However, if I want to get somewhere in life with volleyball, then I need all the help I can get.
"Larissa is one of those students who comes everyday prepared, positive, and ready to learn. She has a lot going on at home, but is always smiling no matter what.
Larissa knew she wanted to do this program before I even started getting my students involved. She is a talented student and could really use some intensive opportunities to expand her capabilities.
Larissa needs exposure to high achieving role models and the opportunity to get out of her home setting during the summer. She deserves every scholastic opportunity possible."
