Rachel's Story

My passion is volleyball.

Growing up, I discovered volleyball and became more intrigued by it. As I started playing more here and there, I noticed that I was really beginning to develop a passion for volleyball. Not only was I longing to play the game, but I was longing for the feeling of belonging in a team. Volleyball has taught me a lot from determination, to working hard to achieve my goals.

A Note from Ms. Pollara, Rachel's Teacher

Rachel would be a strong asset for the US Sports Nike Volleyball Camp. She is an incredibly passionate, strong, driven, and competitive young lady. She wants to master everything that crosses her path, and she is great at taking feedback. Additionally, I would love to see her be a part of this program because, although Rachel participates in other extracurricular activities outside of school, none of them are truly team-based. I think Rachel would benefit from learning how to work together with teammates to achieve a common goal. It's a life skill that will allow her to thrive not only in sports, but college any beyond.

Through this camp, I have been able to build confidence and learn how to play volleyball in a whole new way. I was also able to make new friends and create bonds with people through our common interest. Without your donations, I wouldn't have been able to attend this life changing event. Thank you.
