My passion is criminal law.
Living in New York City, I am exposed to high crime rates and lots of violence. This exposure made me ask myself, why do people commit crimes? Why are certain groups of people more likely to commit a crime than others? In addition to these wonders, I also became fascinated about why some people commit more severe crimes than others. This passion has led me to look forward to pursuing a career in law.
Attending the Saint Rose Pre-College Summer Experience: Criminal Justice and Forensics program will allow me to expand my knowledge on the different aspects of the crime world. I already have a strong passion for criminal justice and being able to attend this program will strengthen my desire to pursue a career in criminal justice. This program will give me the opportunity to actively participate in this field of work rather than just watch shows and think about it. This program can also help me apply and get accepted into a college with a prestigious law program that will set me up for success in this career.
Chris is an exceptionally bright young man. He excels in school - he works hard and gets great grades. He would benefit greatly from additional academic opportunities to help him bridge the gap between high-school-level work and college-level work, especially when the content area is something that he's passionate about, like the Saint Rose Pre-College Summer Experience.
I had a great time attending my program this summer. My 2 weeks at the Saint Rose Pre-College Summer Experience: Criminal Justice and Forensics was the highlight of my summer. I met new people, visited the New York State Police Academy, learned how to approach and process a crime scene, and much more! I want to thank my advocate Mr. Campbell, my donors, and Wishbone for allowing me to experience and learn so much this summer!
